If your camera is supported by gPhoto2 and you prefer to access your photos directly from your camera rather than fiddle with flash storage cards (or if you’re just not sure whether your camera is supported or not), connect the USB cord supplied with your camera to the camera itself and then to one of the USB ports on your computer.
Once you’ve done that, turn the camera on, and set it to communicate with your computer. Switching the camera to Play mode, rather than Camera mode, usually seems to do the trick, but you should check your owner’s manual just to be sure. If your camera is supported by gPhoto2, and the chances of that are quite good, a small window will appear as shown on picture below. To view the images on your camera, click the Import Photos button.

1. Defrag harddisk secara berkala. Fungsi defrag adalah untuk menata dan mengurutkan file-file harddisk berdasarkan jenis file/data sedemikian rupa sehingga akan mempermudah proses read/write sehingga beban kerja akan lebih ringan yg akhirnya dapat memperpanjang umur harddisk. Caranya klik menu Start > Program > Accesories > System Tool > Disk Defragmenter. Saat menjalankan fungsi ini tidak boleh ada program lain yg berjalan termasuk screensaver karena akan mengacaukan fungsi defrag ini.
2. Aktifkan screensaver Selain bersifat estetis, screensaver mempunyai fungsi lain yg penting. Monitor CRT juga televisi menggunakan fosfor untuk menampilkan gambar. Kalau monitor menampilkan gambar yg sama untuk beberapa saat maka ada fosfor yang menyala terus menerus. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan monitor bermasalah yaitu gambar menjadi redup/kurang jelas. Lain halnya jika monitor anda adalah LCD, LED yg sudah dilengkapi dengan energy saving, maka screensaver tidak terlalu dibutuhkan lagi. Cara+ mengaktifkan screensaver dapat dilakukan dengan banyak cara, salah satunya klik Start > Control Panel > Display > klik tab screensaver, kemudian pilih sesuai selera .
3. Ventilasi yang cukup Tempatkan monitor maupun CPU sedemikian rupa sehingga ventilasi udara dari dan ke monitor / CPU cukup lancar. Ventilasi yg kurang baik akan menyebabkan panas berlebihan sehingga komponen/rangkaian elektronik di dalamnya akan menjadi cepat panas sehingga dapat memperpendek umur komponen tsb. Oleh karena itu usahakan jarak antara monitor/CPU dengan dinding/tembok minimal 30 cm. Kalau perlu pasang kipas angin di dalam ruangan.
4. Pakailah UPS atau stavolt.Pakailah UPS untuk mengantisipasi listrik mati secara tiba-tiba yg dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan pada harddisk. Kalau terpaksa tidak ada UPS, pakailah Stavolt untuk mengantisipasi naik turunnya tegangan listrik.
5. Tutup / close program yg tidak berguna Setiap program yg diload atau dijalankan membutuhkan memory (RAM) sehingga semakin banyak program yg dijalankan semakin banyak memory yg tersita. Hal ini selain dapat menyebabkan Kompie berjalan lambat (lelet) juga beban kerja menjadi lebih berat yg akhirnya dapat memperpendek umur komponen/Kompie.
6. Install program antivirus dan update secara berkala Untuk dapat mengenali virus/trojan2 baru sebaiknya update program antivirus secara berkala. Virus yg terlanjur menyebar di komputer dapat membuat anda menginstall ulang Kompie. Hal ini selain membutuhkan biaya juga akan menyebabkan harddisk Ente akan lebih cepat rusak dibanding apabila tidak sering diinstall ulang.
7. Bersihkan Recycle Bin secara rutinSebenarnya file/folder yg kita hapus tidak langsung hilang dari harddisk karena akan ditampung dahulu di Recycle Bin ini dengan maksud agar suatu saat apabila anda masih membutuhkannya dapat mengembalikan lagi. Recycle Bin yg sudah banyak juga akan menyita ruang harddisk yg dapat menyebabkan pembacaan harddisk jadi lelet.Caranya jalankan Windows Explorer > klik Recycle Bin > klik File > klik Empty Recyle Bin Atau dapat menjalankan fungsi Disk Cleanup Caranya Klik Start > Program > Accessories > System Tool > Disk Cleanup > kemudian pilih drive yg mau dibersihkan > setelah itu centangilah opsi Recycle Bin kalau perlu centangi juga yg lain (seperti temporary file, temporary internet file), setelah klik OK.
8. Jangan meletakkan Speacker Active terlalu dekat dengan monitor Karena medan magnet yang ada pada speaker tersebut akan mempengaruhi monitor yaitu warna monitor menjadi tidak rata atau belang-belang.
9. Uninstall atau buang program yg tidak berguna Ruang harddisk yg terlalu banyak tersita akan memperlambat proses read/write harddisk sehingga beban kerjanya akan lebih berat sehingga harddisk akan cepat rusak.
10. Bersihkan motherboard & periferal lain dari debu secara berkala. Setidaknya enam bulan sekali hal ini harus dilakukan. Buka casingnya terlebih dahulu kemudian bersihkan motherboard dan periferal lain (RAM, Video Card, Modem, Sound Card, CDR/CDRW/DVRW, TV Tuner) dengan sikat halus. Pada saat komputer tidak digunakan tutuplah komputer (monitor, CPU, keyboard/mouse) dengan cover sehingga debu tidak mudah masuk ke dalam Kompie.
11. Pasang kabel ground. Apabila casing nyetrum, ambil kabel dengan panjang seperlunya, ujung satu dihubungkan dengan badan CPU (pada casing) sedangkan ujung yg lain ditanam dalam tanah. Hal ini akan dapat menetralkan arus listrik yg “nyasar” sehingga dapat membuat komponen elektronik lebih awet

Fragility of the system more meaningful to what extent protection can be applied to networks owned by someone from outside the system who try to gain illegal access to computer networks and the possibility of people from within the system provides access to the outside world which is damaging the network system.
To analyze a global information network system as a whole about the level of reliability and safety is not something easy to implement. Analysis of a network system must be detailed information ranging from policy level to the level of practical application.
For starters, it's good we see a network system that has become the main target point of the efforts of the burglary attempt. In general, the world's computer networks using the Unix operating system as a platform. Unix has become an operating system that has high reliability and good performance level. However, Unix is basically composed of the functions that are quite complicated and complex. As a result, Unix also has several drawbacks such as bugs (programming algorithm mismatch) sometimes small is not recognized by Unix programmers. In addition, utilities that use Unix as a platform, often has its own bugs as well. Well, these things are often exploited by hackers and intruders in an automated in the world.
To prevent successful exploits of hackers and intruders in an automated it, developed a concept known as Unix Network Security Architecture.

Installing the Flash Player Plugin for Firefox
Sometimes when we again ato blog web surving, our browser can not display the flash animation existing atu on the web or blogs, it has not caused teribstallnya Flash Player plugin on your browser, now for those of you who use the Ubuntu operating system, you may not know how to install flash player in ubuntu, there is little ne tips on how to install it.

plugin for Firefox. Given the fact that more and more web pages out there
contain significant amounts of Flash content, this installation will make your
much web surfing endeavors. . . well, let's just say less annoying, since you
will not have to repeatedly stare at messages such as "Additional plugins are
required to display all the media on this page "or" Click here to download
plugin "(an especially annoying message, since the click-to-install approach
does not seem to work, not yet anyway).
To do the deed, click the "Search" button in the main Synaptic window,
type small flash in the Find window that then appears, and then click Search
in that window. In the list of results that then appears, scroll down until you
find "libflash-mozplugin", and click it once to select it. Once you've done that,
right-click that same entry, and select "Mark for Installation" in the popup
menu that appears. Click "Mark" in the window that appears, click the "Apply"
button in the main Synaptic window, and then click "Apply" again in the
Summary window that appears.
When the installation is done, you can check things out to make sure that
Flash is at work by opening Firefox (and, yes, you must restart it if it was open
while you were installing the Flash plugin) and going to www.adobe.com/
products / flash / about. If you do not see any of the annoying-you-need-thisclick
here-to-install-that messages that I mentioned earlier, you can sit back
and smile. Success has once again come your way.

2. Click the Add button, and then the Custom button in the dialog box that appears.
3. Click the Add Repository button.
4. Click OK in the Software Preferences dialog box, and then agree to the reloading of package listings.
5. In the main Synaptic Package Manager window, click Search and enter wine as a
search term.
6. In the list of results, look for the wine entry (this will simply be the word wine on its own,without any additional text). Click the check box, and then click Mark for Installation.
7. Search for winetools and mark it for installation.
8. Click Apply. You’ll be warned that some of the downloads you’re about to install are not authenticated. However, in this case, you’re downloading from a trusted location(http://sourceforge.net, in fact, the home of many key open-source projects). So it’ssafe to click Apply.
9. When Wine has downloaded and installed (it was around 15MB on my system), close
the Synaptic Package Manager.

Change Login Screen in Ubuntu
Sometimes we feel bore with the default login screen of ubuntu, heemmp, now we will learn how to change login screen. Let's start guys.
You may have noticed while working with the Art Manager that there is a
menu selection (Art > Other Themes) for something called Login Manager.
The Login Manager is your login screen, also known as a greeter—the screen
where you type your username and user password when you first log in to
your system. The Login Manager is another thing that you can customize,
but be forewarned that any changes you make will be system-wide, not just
for you; whatever Login Manager theme you install and choose will be the
Login Manager theme that everyone else with user accounts will see when
they use the machine. Of course, if you are the only one using your machine,
this point is moot.
1: Downloading a Login Manager Theme
In order to try customizing the Login Manager, run the Art Manger, and
select Art > Other > Themes > Login Manager. Once you’ve done this, browse
through the various themes in the list, and choose one or two that you want;
I give you free rein on this one, but I’ll be choosing the theme called SVG
Sakura, in case you want to follow along exactly.
Unlike your other experiences with the Art Manager up to now, Login
Manager themes can only be downloaded, and you have to do the installation
yourself. That being the case, once you’ve made your selection, click the
Download Only button. Once the download is complete, you will find the file
in archive form, with a tar.gz ending, in your home folder, or any other folder
you decided to save it to. You do not need to extract, or untar, the archived file.
2: Installing Your New Login Manager Theme
Once you’ve downloaded a theme or two of your liking, you need to open
the Login Screen Setup window. To do this, go to the System menu, and
select Administration > Login Window. A dialog box asking for your password
will then open. Type the password for the account you are currently using,
and click OK. The Login Window Preferences window will soon appear, showing a thumbnailed list of the greeters available.
You can add the greeters you just downloaded to this list by dragging the
files directly to the list. A small window will then appear, asking if you’re sure
that you want to install the file you’ve just dragged to the list, and since you
do want to install the file, click Install.
To select the greeter you wish to use, just click the round button next to

Tutorial Installing Ubuntu
Let's start to new topic for who are don't know how to install ubuntu, if you are already understand how to install ubuntu, you may leave this tutorial.
Step 1: Boot from the CD-ROM
Firstly, with your computer booted up, insert the Ubuntu disc into the CD/DVD-ROM drive. Close the tray, and then reboot your computer.
Step 2: Select Your Language
Ubuntu have language feature, so you may choose language as you want,and the first step in the installation routine is to select one. It offers many eastern and western European languages, as well as Asian languages. The default language is English.
Step 3: Confirm Your Keyboard Layout
After it, you’ll be asked to confirm the keyboard layout you’ll be using. This should correspond to
your language and locale settings, and will be automatically selected, so you can just hit Enter.
Step 4: Wait During Hardware and Networking Autodiscovery
Next, you can sit back for a few moments while Ubuntu probes your hardware and configures
everything to ensure that installation progresses smoothly. You’ll see a progress bar indicating
its status.
Step 5: Set a Hostname
Following autodiscovery, you’ll be asked to set a hostname for the computer, a slightly archaic
requirement. The hostname is the name under which your computer is identified in
networking environments, as well as at the command line
Step 6: Partition the Disk
Partitioning the disk is one of the most important steps during installation although, unfortunately,
it’s one that’s also couched in difficult terminology. Ubuntu does its best to make
partitioning easy. You have four main options when it comes to disk partitioning: install on a hard disk that
also contains Windows, install on a second hard disk, delete an existing Windows partition, or use free space that already exists on your hard disk.
Step 7: Wait During Automated Package Copying
The next stage is the automated copying from the CD-ROM of packages.
Initially, these are copied to your hard disk. Later, they will be installed and set up.

Crash-Free A primary benefit of Linux is that it doesn’t crash. In years and years of using Linux, you willnever experience your mouse cursor freezing on screen. A strange error box won’t appear and
not go away until you reboot. It’s possible to leave a Linux system running for years without
ever needing to reboot (although most desktop Ubuntu users shut down their PC when they
won’t be using it for a while, just like the rest of us).
Of course, programs that run on top of Linux sometimes crash, but they don’t take the rest
of the system down with them, as can happen under Windows. Instead, you can clean up after
a crash and just carry on.
Security
The next benefit is that Linux is far, far more secure than Windows. Linux is based on years of
proven computer science research. It works on the principle of users who have permissions to
undertake various tasks on the system. If you don’t have the correct permission, then you
cannot, for example, access a particular piece of hardware. Additionally, privacy can be ensured
because the files on the PC are “owned” by individual users, who can permit or deny others
access to those files.
